SatWide 1 covers all of Eastern and Western Europe, the North of Africa and Middle East. It offers connectivity for up to 28 PCs and allows the configuration of Virtual Private networks including up to 28 fixed Private IP's.
SatWide 1 is a scalable, high performance satellite IP terminal that delivers broadband access with a high-speed return channel.
SatWide 1 is intended for companies, organisations & Internet Service Providers who require professional broadband IP networking solutions to satisfy bandwidth-intensive applications such as Internet access, digital media streaming, distance education, file transfer, multicasting, and virtual private networks
SatWide 1 has been developed after the combination and knowledge of data networks, digital communications, satellite access and network control in order to provide a scalable and low cost network product.
This service supports IP routing, IP multicasting, IP Quality of Service, and TCP spoofing for 10 Mbps of unicast throughput.
SatWide 1's is simple to operate, easy to configure, provides traffic statistics and offers an SNMP interface
This service is comprised of a Satellite gateway (IDU - Indoor Unit) and a special satellite antenna with a transmitter and a LNB receiver (ODU - Outdoor Unit).

The IDU is linked to the PC by a RJ45 cable and to the ODU by two coaxial cables. The antenna is installed outside and oriented to the Eutelsat Satellites.
